Our Programs and Services
-
Overseen by TBRI practitioner and trauma-informed instructor Katie Heinzen, we provide skill development services for adults and children in Brown and Sheboygan counties through CCS, CLTS, YJ, and school-based initiatives, using play-based, brain science-backed activities to build resilience, communication, and coping tools tailored to individual goals.
-
Counseling and therapy for adults and children are provided through the same play- and connection-focused lens as our skill programs. While sessions take place in a traditional room, we integrate the values of play, connection, and growth. Services are offered through CLTS, CCS, YJ, and schools, and we also accept most commercial insurance carriers.
-
We partner with school districts and local grant funders to provide individual and group skills, education, and counseling directly in schools. We collaborate on alternative-to-expulsion placements, addressing underlying issues driving classroom behaviors, and offer trauma-informed training and resiliency support to empower teachers.
-
We partner with CCS to exclusively support adults in developing daily living skills through our community-focused skills services.
-
Our community center, gardens, and pantry provide a welcoming space where individuals can shop for clothes, food, hygiene supplies, furniture, and home goods during open pantry hours. They can grow and harvest fresh produce in our community garden and access fresh food from the pantry. The community center hosts trainings, classes, and community engagement events and is also available for rental. Meeting these basic needs is a vital complement to our mental health programs, reducing stress and fostering stability to support emotional growth and resilience. This approach also advances health equity by ensuring everyone has access to essential resources. Our clients can access these services at any time, and we partner with other agencies to help supply the pantry, extending our impact across the community.
-
Access Camps are designed to foster arts and culture learning through hands-on activities and master classes, providing a safe space to explore creativity and build connections. Open to both our clients and the community, these pop-up camps incorporate volunteer opportunities and promote engagement.
-
Our therapists provide trauma-informed care and trust-based relational trainings in our communities and businesses, empowering others to support healing, communication, and resilience.
